2006-08-20 Rafting on the White Salmon River
The White Salmon River flows from Mount Adams down to the Columbia River Gorge, close to the southern border of the state of Washington. This was a nice trip, 7.5 miles long, over this class 3-4 river. Close to the end of the trip, they have a nice waterfall, 12 feet high.
Sometimes the rafts and all the occupants dive a good 4-5 feet underwater for a few seconds upon impact. And there is some sadistic photographer from the rafting company, on the bridge just above the waterfall, to take photos of the weird faces you make in the fall...
This album has 16 photos in total.
